Court Rules and Procedures Committee

The Court Rules and Procedures Committee studies and develops suggested amendments to designated sets of court rules on a regular cycle of review established by the Washington Supreme Court. It also responds to requests for comment from the Court on proposals developed by others. The committee performs the rules-study function outlined in General Rule 9 and reports its recommendations to the WSBA Board of Governors.

The Committee will meet 9:30–11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 16, 2017, at the WSBA Offices. Agenda and meeting materials will be posted on this page. Meetings are open to the public.

Information for the Public

Pursuant to court order, the committee publicizes suggested rule changes for public comment before finalizing its recommendations. Members of the Bar, bench, and public are encouraged to review these proposals and send comments to the committee.

Suggested rule changes should be submitted to the Court pursuant to the procedures set forth in GR 9(e); comments on published proposed rule changes should be submitted to the Court pursuant to GR 9(g).
