Law Day 2026

Established by President Eisenhower in 1958, Law Day honors the rule of law as the bedrock of American society. In 2026 — the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence — our role as legal professionals is more critical than ever. Washington's legal community is responding with optimism and purpose by investing in the next generation.

In an era of polarization and declining public trust, the rule of law requires active defenders. We are calling on Washington’s legal community to step out of the courtroom and into the classroom to become trust-builders.

Our Mission

On May 1, pledge to visit a classroom on (or around the time of) Constitution Day, Sept. 17, 2026. By bringing the Constitution and its day-to-day application to life for students across the state, you help bridge civic divides and safeguard the future of our judiciary.

Be the voice of democracy they need to hear.
