Current Congressional District 3 Governor Allison Widney has been declared the winner to serve a second term beginning at the conclusion of the Sept. 24–25, 2026 meeting of the Board of Governors and concluded in September 2029.
About Governor Widney
I have been a member of the Bar and a Clark County resident since 2011 and have proudly served on the Board for the last three years. Currently, I work as a civil defense attorney. I work hard for my clients and within the community and will apply the same drive toward service for the members of the WSBA.
I value transparency, integrity, and upholding the law. If re-elected, I will continue to strive to improve communication between the Bar and its members. As a lawyer who has worked in Clark County for over 14 years, I will continue to bring new perspectives to the numerous issues facing the Bar, the rule of law, and give the members of our district a strong voice.
During my time on the Board, I have found fulfillment in finding solutions to combat legal deserts. Our initiatives have included successful rural job fairs, symposiums with a wide range of stakeholders, and analysis/change of systemic and pipeline barriers. There is more work to be done, and that is just one reason why I have decided to run again for a Board seat.
I am eager to continue serving you as District 3 Governor. I hope to hear from you with any comments, questions, or ideas for moving this important work forward.
