LLLT Board
The Limited License Legal Technician (LLLT) Board derives its authority from the Washington Supreme Court under Rule 28 of the Washington Supreme Court Admission and Practice Rules. APR 28 authorized a new level of licensed legal professionals who meet certain educational requirements to advise and assist clients in family law. On June 4, 2020, the Washington Supreme Court decided to sunset the LLLT program with July 31, 2022 as the last date to qualify for a LLLT license.
The deadline for LLLTs to satisfy pre-admission requirements was extended to July 31, 2023 by an order entered by the Supreme Court on June 9, 2022.
With APR 28, the Washington Supreme Court established the LLLT Board to oversee the LLLT Program.
