Join us for a day-long exploration of changes to U.S. intellectual property law enacted over the past year and what we can expect in the years to come.
The 24th Annual Institute will include, among others:
- Andrei Iancu, Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office, our keynote speaker, will discuss emerging issues faced by the USPTO and the new direction that the USPTO is forging.
- Mark Perry, counsel for CLS Bank International, Gibson Dunn, will share his insider’s view of facing Alice Corp. in front of SCOTUS and the lessons learned from Alice after five years.
- Ted Davis, nationally recognized trademark expert, Kilpatrick Townsend, will deliver a session on new developments in trademark law.
- Stephen Carter of the London firm, K2 IP Limited, will join us to speak on the latest developments in Brexit and what kind of new day we can expect from our British counterparts.
- Two separate morning tracks, one for Patent Law and one for Copyright/Trademark Law, will review last-year’s notable cases and focus on recent developments.
