How to Access WSBA Deskbooks

Enjoy FREE access to WSBA'S Deskbooks collection through the Washington State Law Library! Create a free account with the Washington State Law Library and access all Deskbook titles through the LexisNexis Digital Law Library system to check out eBooks, including all WSBA Deskbooks!

Simply follow these simple steps and you’ll be accessing WSBA's Deskbooks for FREE in no time. It’s as easy as counting to six!

Note, to check out eBooks and Deskbooks you simply need to be registered in the Washington State Law Library system with a Washington mailing address to create your account username and password.

1. Register your account.
   Create an account with the Washington Law Library. Register here. Already have an account? Use your login or recover your username or password here.
2. Sign in.
   Using your username and password login to your account. This will give you access to physical books offered by the law library.
3. Head over to LexisNexis’s Washington State Law Library for to access WSBA's Deskbooks collection.
   The login you created for the Washington Law Library can now be used to check out eBooks—including all WSBA Deskbook titles via the LexisNexis Washington State Law Library eBook Collection.
4. Browse the library.
   Success! Once you’ve logged in click the “Browse library” icon on the left column. WSBA Deskbooks will appear at the top of the page—to see all titles click the upper right corner in red “SEE ALL 25 TITLES”.
5. Select your title.
   Click the “Read” icon on the Deskbook of your choosing, this will prompt you to select to borrow your free Deskbook for a time period of seven, 14, or even up to 21 days. After selecting your borrow period click the red “BORROW” icon below the book image.
6. Start using your FREE Deskbook!
   Now that your Deskbook is checked out you will immediately be brought to your title to start reading!
   Done with your Deskbook early? Simply click the “My Books” tab and click on your return date below your title in the bottom right-hand corner. Then click “RETURN”, so your fellow bar members can have a chance to access the title as well.
