Celebrating Our 50-year Members

by WSBA

The year was 1975. The Godfather Part II won the Oscar for Best Picture; the Vietnam War was coming to an end; and a new crop of attorneys was sworn in as members of the Washington State Bar Association. That esteemed group of lawyers recently convened to mark five decades as members of the Bar.

This year's 50-Year Member Tribute Luncheon took place June 16 at the Museum Flight in Seattle. The event was hosted by WSBA President Sunitha Anjilvel, the WSBA Board of Governors, and WSBA Executive Director Terra Nevitt with special guest Washington Supreme Court Chief Justice Debra Stephens.

"This year we honor 76 members who have each solidified 50 years of membership with the Bar," Anjilvel said to attendees. "Collectively, you represent 3,800 years of service to the public and the profession. And that’s just the 50-year members in the room! It’s quite an incredible record of service to so many residents of this state and beyond."

We salute these fine lawyers for their service to the legal profession in Washington.
