This program will provide an introduction to human rights atrocities and portrayal in cinema. Faculty will:
- Discuss the contested idea of human rights (the legal and the political, by reference to the long-lasting battle between lawyers and philosophers)
- Discuss the utility of films for raising awareness of human rights atrocities
