This seminar will cover:
- In 2016, four of Washington's Presidential electors voted for people other than their party's nominee.
- The Secretary of State fined them.
- They had administrative hearings contesting the fine.
- Their fines were affirmed through the Washington Supreme Court.
- Similarly situated faithless electors in Colorado appealed to federal court, where the 10th Circuit held they could not be penalized for their faithlessness under the U.S. Constitution.
- The cases are headed to the U.S. Supreme Court.
