The WSBA Construction Law Section and Lane Powell will present a CLE seminar on Construction Law Doctrine and Legal Developments, "Construction Doctrines: Is There a Doctrine in the House."
The seminar will include:
- Presentations on doctrines with special construction contracting applications, including the Spearin Doctrine, design-build concepts and implied warranties, Severin Doctrine, Independent Duty, Spoliation and mitigation of damages, and federal contracts
- The popular Judicial Panel, with both appellate and superior court jurists, who will address discovery issues and Burnett factors, including rulings on various hypothetical act patterns
- Annual case law and legislative updates
- One-hour ethics discussion
Seminar is sponsored and hosted by Lane Powell. For those attending in person, plan on attending the post-seminar social hour from 4:30-5:30, sponsored by McMillen Jacobs Associates.
On-site attendance is limited to 45 attendees, so early sign-ups are encouraged. If unable to attend in person, a live webcast option is also available.
Cost: $240 section member; $275 non-section member
Credits: 7 CLE credits pending approval (including 1 Ethics)
