This session is an overview of several legal issues and requirements experienced by farm workers and agricultural employers, including wage and hour requirements, the federal H-2A Temporary Agricultural Worker program, and the Washington State Farm Labor Contractor Act. The presenters will discuss common issues that rural attorneys may encounter or should be prepared to discuss with their clients, from both the worker’s and employer’s perspective.
