CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION
March 31, 2021
Join the Lavender Rights Project faculty in this two-part advanced training for all legal practitioners interacting with (or wanting to interact with) the transgender and gender-diverse community as clients, opposing parties, opposing counsel, or office staff. This training is intended to go beyond explaining the differences between sex, gender, and sexuality and get into the theory behind more competently working with the gender diverse community. In Part 2, to be held on May 20, 2021, the program will also provide legal training in specific legal topics such as name/gender marker changes and the Washington Law Against Discrimination (WLAD) that directly impact this community. If you've interacted with a trans or gender-diverse person in your practice and want to know how to do better while reducing harm done to this marginalized community, this training is for you.
