CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION
July 27, 2020
Presented by the education law attorneys from Cedar Law, this is the fourth installment of a four-part series on the complex and far-reaching practice of education law (the other programs will be held on June 15, June 29, and July 13). In this program, you can participate in a lively examination of negligence actions and student records as pre-litigation discovery with experts in the field of education law. The legal contours and policy issues discussed will include In Loco Parentis and heightened standards of care for schools, premises liability and recreational land use, getting to and from school (e.g., busses and crosswalks), Washington Public Records Act (PRA) as it relates to schools, the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and violations and penalties as they concern the Family Policy Compliance Office (FPCO).
