CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION

Presented by the education law attorneys from Cedar Law, this is the second installment of a four-part series on the complex and far-reaching practice of education law (the other programs will be held on June 15, July 13, and July 27). This program will explore Civil Rights as they apply to students and school settings. Faculty will discuss law and policy involving disability (as it relates to IDEA, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and Title II of the ADA), race, color, and national origin (involving Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964), gender and sex (involving Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972), and the Civil Rights of teachers and staff under Chapter 49.60 RCW – WLAD.
