Information for CLE Sponsors
Sponsors or providers of a CLE course must create a sponsor account on the online MCLE portal.
To apply for MCLE credit for a course, a sponsor must apply online through the online MCLE portal and pay the $50 application fee. Sponsors must apply at least 15 days prior to the date of the course; otherwise a $35 late fee will be assessed.
For each approved live program, the sponsor must submit attendance no later than 30 days after the conclusion of the course. Sponsors must submit attendance through the online MCLE portal. The fee for reporting attendance is $1 per attendee. There is a $35 late fee if it is reported more than 30 days after the course. Lawyers are responsible for reporting their own completion of recorded courses.
A sponsor may duplicate and receive automatic approval for another occurrence of an approved course if it is to be presented no later than 12 months from the original presentation date. Create a duplicate course on the MCLE website for each subsequent presentation. The duplicate must be submitted at least one day before the presentation and the content and faculty must be identical to the original course.
Sponsors may also use the "duplicate" feature to create a recorded activity based on an already-approved live program. The recorded activity will be valid for five years from the original recording date. Note: The recorded program should be accredited to match the run time of the recorded program. This may not match the accreditation of the live program, due to program editing.
Sponsors must abide by the requirements and standards set forth in APR 11.
