World Peace Through Law Section

The World Peace Through Law Section focuses on international affairs and issues of war, peace, and law. A major benefit for members is the Section's stimulating monthly forum series featuring experts addressing a diversity of current world affairs topics (see Calendar). Forums begin at noon on the last Tuesday of the month at the WSBA offices. Due to space limitations, pre-registration is required.

Section Meetings:
Every last Tuesday of the month.

About WPTL Section's Workgroup Meetings
In discussing ways of improving the Section, the Executive Committee is committed to the continuance of our successful mini-CLEs, but also recognizes an unfulfilled gap.  Many Section members have expressed an interest in actively discussing and working on issues, within the limits of the Section and the WSBA guidelines and policies. The intent of the workgroups is to promote discussion and to provide a forum for Section members to work on issues that are raised during CLEs.

The March 2009 meeting was the first of our workgroups. The effectiveness and value of the workgroup sessions will depend on the participating individuals. Our regular program of a mini-CLE held during the lunch period has been offered every other month with a workgroup session scheduled for the interim months.
