The primary responsibility of this position is two-fold: to coordinate administrative needs for data resources (such as web content, listservs, member databases, rosters, lists, records, etc.) with Bar Leaders staff; and to provide administrative support to the Bar Leaders Division. The position is the front-line contact for responding to and processing telephone, email and team data requests. Day-to-day responsibilities include entering data into membership database; updating rosters; updating lists; coordinating web page updates; administering listservs; and assisting the Bar Leaders team with administrative support. The successful candidate will be self-directed and have demonstrated experience tracking and monitoring multiple deadlines while adjusting to competing demands; be exceptionally organized; be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment, exercise diplomacy, responsiveness, continual / conscientious attention to detail, and sound judgment; and interact effectively with all individuals within and outside the organization. Well-qualified candidates will have high aptitude or experience drawing upon technology to streamline work processes.
An AA degree or equivalent experience along with 3 years' administrative experience supporting multiple staff is required. In-depth proficiency with MS Word/Excel/Outlook is a must. Familiarity with Powerpoint is a plus.

The primary responsibility of this position is to independently process daily cash receipts of routine transactions (i.e. bar exam applications, attorney and LPO new admittee license fees, attorney license fees, section dues, etc.). This position processes a high volume of transactions and must be skilled in data entry, collecting past due accounts, and researching atypical transactions. Primary contact will be with staff in other WSBA departments concerning daily receipts processing. There will also be contact with bar members concerning their payments, declined credit cards, charge backs, collections, etc.
A two-year accounting degree or bookkeeping experience is required. Two years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting is also required. Teamwork, initiative, attention to detail, customer service and strong communication skills are also required. Well qualified candidates will have advanced proficiency in MS Office applications and general office equipment (i.e. 10-key calculator, fax, copier, printer, etc). Experience with Navision is a plus.

This position primarily manages and processes orders for WSBA publications and products (including orders received via the WSBA-CLE online store , mail, fax, phone and walk-in customers) on a daily basis. This position interfaces with legal professionals state-wide, year- round, and must provide excellent customer service. The position oversees the annual December onsite Bookstore and will provide training and supervision to temporary staff during that period. This position has lead responsibility for the yearly online Member Appreciation Summer sale. Additionally, this position supports the Production Assistant in processing orders for recorded seminars and course materials. The incumbent will use accounting and member databases daily to log and process orders; to generate shipping paperwork; to prepare, pack and mail out products; to assess destination sales taxes; to set up products and initial inventories; to record sales and resolve accounting discrepancies; to generate monthly sales reports; and to gather other data as required. AA degree is required. Bachelor's in Business Administration or Accounting preferred. Advanced proficiency with MS Office programs and databases is required. Demonstrated experience with online inventory and accounting systems is a plus. This position has a high volume of contact with WSBA members and a significant amount of interaction with other departments within the Bar. Successful candidates will have a proven track record of providing excellent customer service and service recovery and of exercising diplomacy, tact, and discretion. The primary responsibility of this position is to respond to a high volume of telephone (as well as e-mail and in-person) complaints by the public under sometimes stressful conditions, and to answer inquiries on a wide range of questions about the lawyer discipline system. The position informs the public and membership about the grievance process, fee arbitration, and the general function of the WSBA, especially the Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC). The position also informally mediates disputes between lawyers and their clients and otherwise supports the functions of the Intake team, which processes grievances against lawyers.
Consumer affairs and/or high volume telephone customer service experience is required. Two years college required. Bachelor's degree and/or law office experience preferred. Excellent communication and good writing and mediation skills are required. Proficiency in Word/Excel/Outlook is required, as is the ability to retrieve information quickly and accurately from an electronic database. A calm and helpful demeanor is desired. Must be able to multi-task and work well in a cooperative, team setting.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) seeks a full-time lawyer to investigate and prosecute allegations of ethical misconduct against lawyers. This position is a temporary, hourly ($30.55/hr - $39/hr depending on experience), non-benefit eligible assignment to last approximately 6 months. The ODC offers the opportunity to work in an environment where a commitment to ethics and professionalism is paramount. Qualified candidates must be licensed to practice law in Washington, have substantial trial experience and superb writing and analytical skills, and at least five years of experience in the active practice of law. Experience working with the Rules of Professional Conduct, and experience in criminal prosecution, and/or family law a plus. (Posted 01/04/08) The Diversity Program Manager is responsible for working to institutionalize and facilitate the WSBA's commitment to diversity as embodied in WSBA's Guiding Principles, which include a commitment to operate a well-managed association that will advance and promote diversity, equality, and cultural understanding throughout the legal community. This position reports to the Director of Justice and Diversity Initiatives. The Diversity Program Manager plays a primary role in the strategic development and programmatic direction of WSBA's efforts to enhance diversity in the legal profession through work with the WSBA leadership, the WSBA Board of Governors, and other organizations in the legal community. This position will be responsible for recommending, planning, and executing diversity-specific events and programs in collaboration with and as directed by the WSBA Board of Governors, the WSBA Committee for Diversity and WSBA leadership. The position provides liaison support to the WSBA Committee for Diversity. A primary role of this position will be to facilitate relationships throughout the legal community to promote diversity in the legal profession.
Qualified candidates will have a law degree (JD) and previous experience working in an educational, governmental or nonprofit organization. Experience working with volunteers is highly desirable. Well qualified candidates will have experience working in a position in a legal setting in which diversity concerns were the primary focus of the job; experience in public speaking; and experience writing articles and developing and delivering CLE level training. This position requires a demonstrated ability to build relationships with and among various interest groups; competency with issues relating to inclusion, diversity and cross-cultural competency; the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, including with underrepresented and disenfranchised individuals and communities; the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple and competing demands.
