The Washington State Bar Association Tax Section is pleased to announce its annual $5,000 LL.M. Tax scholarship. Eligible applicants are those who have been accepted by, and plan to attend, a Tax LL.M. program in 2013-2014 at an accredited United States law school.The scholarship committee will evaluate the following factors in awarding the scholarship: (a) academic record; (b) financial need for the scholarship; and (c) the demonstrated intent to become an active member of the Washington State Bar Association Tax Section upon completion of his/her tax LL.M. The scholarship will be awarded at the Tax Section Annual Luncheon on May 14, 2013.

Submit your application to Rich Johnson by May 1st, 2013. Applicants may be interviewed by the Scholarship Committee by telephone. The recipient is encouraged to attend the Tax Section Annual Luncheon on May 14, 2013. Persons related to members of the Executive Council are not eligible for the scholarship.

Each year, the Taxation Section awards a $5,000 scholarship to an individual pursuing an LL.M. degree who plans on practicing law in Washington upon graduation. This scholarship would not be possible without the generous support of area firms.
